Texas VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster)
is a humanitarian association of independent voluntary organizations who may be active in all phases of disaster. It's mission is to foster efficient, streamlined service delivery to people affected by disaster, while eliminating unnecessary duplication of effort, through cooperation in the four phases of disaster: preparation, response, recovery, and mitigation.
VOAD of Cooke County, Texas is called into action upon declaration made by local officials in response to a natural disaster.
Board representation includes; faith communities, non profit agencies, civic and fraternal organizations, health industry and all county cities/communities.
