Abigail's Arms Child Advocacy Center

The Child Advocacy Center of Cooke County is committed to the well-being of children living in our communities. We stand on the firm foundation that children need a safe place to live and thrive, protection from violence and when victimized, they deserve justice. Our mission is to provide a place where justice and healing can begin through inter-agency cooperation and community education.

American Red Cross - Texoma Chapter

Provide relief to victims of disasters, both large-scale and single family, provide community education to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.  Provides emergency communications for military personnel and their families.

To serve others by helping install values in young people and to prepare them to make ethical decisions during their lifetime in achieving their full potential.   A comprehensive youth development program emphasizing adventure, outdoor excitement and civic participation.  For boys in the first grade through the fifth for Cub Scouts and ages 11 to 18 for Boy Scouts.  Program provides youth with leadership training and personal fitness.

Boys Baseball

To serve as an independent voice in court for abused and neglected children.  Volunteers are court appointed to investigate, monitor, report and serve as advocates in court for abused/neglected children’s best interests and assist locating permanent placement in a safe and caring environment.

Meals on Wheels

of Texoma

Senior nutrition program which provides home delivered meals to enable older citizens to continue living in active independence.  Also, a “Dine In” lunch program available at local Senior Centers (Callisburg, Gainesville, Muenster and Valley View) open to all senior citizens of at least 60 years of age.

Texas Ramp

We build wheelchair ramps for disabled or elderly people who can’t afford to buy one. In a few hours on a Saturday morning, we give these folks the freedom to leave their home again—the home where they want to remain but whose steps have imprisoned them.
